Story behind the project

After CSEE and ACSEE, students face a maze of eligibility rules, programme catalogs, and loan steps. Mwongozo Smart was built to tell that journey in one place.

Problem statement

Students struggle to answer: which programmes fit my results, how do NECTA grades map to eligibility, what should I prepare for HESLB/OLAS, and how do I track recommendations?

What was built

The platform combines a TCU-style admission recommendation engine, NECTA result lookup/normalization, HESLB loan guidance, and a bilingual assistant (SAM) backed by a fast API and a large local catalog of institutions and programmes.

  • Admission recommendations for A-Level pathways
  • NECTA CSEE / ACSEE result normalization
  • HESLB loan guidance and demo tracking
  • Bilingual assistant SAM for quick support
  • Admin oversight for saved recommendations and activity
